Wants & Warrants Search

only $9.97 per individual
Use a Wants &Warrants Search to Uncover Crimes That May Not Have Been Recorded Yet!

Wants & Warrants Searches are different from Criminal Background Reports and are especially important when you rent or sell your houses on terms. If you are renting, holding a mortgage, using a Lease Option, Land Contract or Agreement for Deed your tenant/buyers, wants and warrants history is of paramount importance to you as the owner of the property. The obvious reason being that you want to be aware of crimes that may not yet be recorded. You don’t want to put criminals in your houses if you can avoid it. At $9.97 for a Wants & Warrants Search, there's just no excuse not to run one on every applicant. And when you consider the liability you potentially face if the tenant/buyer you have chosen commits a crime, it's crazy not to use the best information available to you. The best defense is to show that you used the "Best Available Means" to check the applicant's background prior to approving the prospective resident's application.

Screening

Screening your tenant/buyers carefully includes running a Wants & Warrants Search during the application approval process. Remember that once you adopt any policy as a part of your approval process, you must run the same background checks on EVERY applicant. Not doing so might be considered a form of discrimination. All professional investors and property managers charge an application fee to offset the cost of properly screening each applicant too.

Then there's the importance of knowing the full criminal backgrounds of your employees, contractors, handy or repair people, baby sitters, nannies, cleaning persons, etc. Let's face it... in today's world; you just can't be too careful. Take comfort in really knowing whom you are allowing into your properties, office, and home. At $9.97 per individual there's no excuse not to check everyone.

Data Sources

This search may contain data from International sources such as Interpol and others. It may contain Federal results such as Drug Enforcement Agency, FBI , US Marshall Services and others. It may contain State results such as Department of Corrections, probation and parole boards, attorney generals, State law enforcement departments. It may also contain County results such as Municipal courts, District courts, Justices of the Peace, County sheriffs, District attorneys and others. It may contain City search results such as City police, City courts, etc.

The types of warrants contained in this database range from misdemeanor warrants for bad checks, traffic violations, failures to appear, and unpaid fines; to felony warrants for parole or probation violations, robbery, rape, forgery, kidnapping and murder.

Information

Because warrants are issued and served on a continuous basis by literally thousands of individual agencies in all 50 states, the information returned in the search results may or may not be current. This is because warrants may have been cleared by arrest or court appearance, been vacated or recalled or otherwise withdrawn, and new warrants may have been issued since the database was last updated.

The publication of a name on this list in no way indicates a persons’ guilt or innocence, and it's possible that a person erroneously appears in this database due to incorrectly recorded information.

The search results will contain any or all of the following information: name, race, sex, height, weight, hair color, eye color, aliases, dates of birth, phone number, warrant number, warrant date, warrant type, reported date, state jurisdiction, county jurisdiction, city jurisdiction, agency, agency contact, case number, offense information, last seen location, bail amount and possible photo.

Other Names Used

It is important to run a criminal search on all Aliases, AKA, or other known names the person has used.

The applicant may provide other names they have used on their application for rental or lease.

You can also find other names they have used in association with their SSN on your National Criminal Report.

Each different name requires a separate order submission and search to be performed. This is necessary because the searches are on NAME + DOB. It is possible that a person could have criminal records on a name they have used in the past and putting you and your property in potential jeopardy by not doing your best available to find this information.

Although this may cost you a little more up front, it will help you ensure that you are not placing criminals in your home, property, or business and can potentially save you a lot of money and grief in the end.
